We administered this toxic flea remedy to our 10 year old Golden as advised from our vet after Frontline seemed ineffective. We administered it incorrectly (but by reading all of the other complaints - i guess our dog was the lucky one) we used it like all of the other topical flea treatments and she lost a huge patch of fur.

Her hair was falling out in clumps :(. As a result, some grew back in but she was left scared with a 5" by 6" area with no hair but brown scared skin and a couple of other small patches We tried multiple organic treatments to try and soothe area to promote hair growth. This was just awful and so upsetting. Now as a result of this, we can not even give her a different topical remedy because there is no hair where it needs to be administered.

This company should be shut down.

Monetary Loss: $300.

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I never apply topical treatments for fleas or ticks on any of my animals. My husband is a physician and knows how toxic they are to humans so why would they be okay for our pets.

I also have a smart vet that agrees with us.

Ask your vet (new vet?) for "Trifexis" for your dog and "Confortis" for cats. It's a pill that interrupts the life cycles of fleas and the Trifexis also is for heart worm and intestinal worms too

My Yorkie started balding on his back shortly after changing the flea and tick medication to Vectra 3D. We and our groomer had been writing it off to his age; however, I stopped administering Vectra 3D in April.

His coat is at approximately 60%, up from the approximately 10% coverage before we stopped administering Vectra 3D.

I will no longer be using Vectra 3D. The side effects are not worth the benefits touted by the marketing.

Why do people use products without reading the directions first?? I you had simply spent a few minutes reading, you would have prevented all of your problems.

Vector is not applied like other topical treatments. Why would you assume that it would be?????

A responsible pet parent would have read the directions before applying. You can hardly blame a product for your own stupidity.

The morning after placing Vectra 3D on my sheltie she developed a rash in that location on her back. The rash faded within two days and I thought all was well.

Bottom line...it wasn't! She started biting her paws and scratching under her neck. She even stopped eating. This *** has caused her to loose clumps of hair and left her with exposed oozing skin. :sigh I am pissed!

This product should be banned! :(

Don't ever use it on your pets!

You are lucky! Your dog could have died like mine did.

I'm sorry you had to go through this awful ordeal.

The CEVA Company should be shut down. I think they are probably pushing all the bull____,

buttons.
